The Epistemuse is an IRN (International Research Network) project that aims to found the first international network of researchers working on the history, historiography and epistemology of musicology, such as it is (and was) practiced in the French-speaking space. The partners of the project cover few countries where musicology is practiced in French language within institutional structures in Belgium, France, Lebanon, Quebec and Tunisia.

The Center for Arab and Mediterranean Music, with the collaboration of the Higher Institute of Music of Tunis, organize the conferences of the CMAM about : Musical dialogues between the African continent, Latin America and the Caribbean

Métamorphoses du 'ūd. De l'organologie à l'espace compositionnel The subject of this book is turning around a major question : can we conceive a link between the making-of the ‘ūd (Arab-Eastern lute), the music composed for it and an appropriate score representation ? This book tries to answer to this question through the study of the historical and organological evolution of the 'ūd, in ancient writings and the current observation of the instrument at the same time, the development of a compositional space around the traditional and contemporary musical forms, and finally, the realization of a semiotic modeling with the aim of a score representation of these forms. It is a modeling which highlights a compositional musical thought.

As part of the 3th edition of International Musicological Prize, named "International Musicological Prize Mahmoud Guettat" was created by the Minister of Cultural Affairs to encourage musicological research. The Organizing Committee invites all researchers to send their latest publications wich must be an original work or a book about a musicological text translation.

The CMAM has the pleasure to invite you to the launch-dedication of the beautiful table book "EnnejmaEzzahra, Treasures Unveiled", Artworks and Objets-d’Art in Baron d’Erlanger’s palace in Sidi Bou Said, by Mounir Hentati.
